Courses for students learning an additional alphabet

Can you already read and write, but not using the Latin alphabet? In our courses for second-language learners, you will learn to read and write German in the Latin alphabet. Speaking and understanding the language is also practiced intensively.

Reading and writing with the Latin alphabet

The course is aimed at people who already know a writing system such as Arabic or Cyrillic and would now like to learn the Latin alphabet. The lessons are communicative and activity-oriented. You learn German by actively using it in realistic everyday situations.

Course duration

The course comprises 1000 hours of lessons. It consists of 900 hours of language course and 100 hours of orientation course. At the end of the course, you will take the “DTZ - Deutschtest für Zuwanderer” (level A2/B1) and the “Leben in Deutschland” test.

Monday - Friday | 1:30 pm - 4:45 pm | 20 hours per week | 5 weeks per course section
