You already know the Latin alphabet, but still have difficulty reading and writing? In our courses for people with low literacy skills, you can improve your written language skills.

Reading and writing with the Latin alphabet

The course is aimed at immigrants who are already familiar with the Latin alphabet but are not used to writing and learning. The focus is on teaching written language skills, especially reading and writing strategies. The courses are taught by qualified teachers.

Integration courses for people with low literacy skills at a glance

  • New courses from A1-B1 every month

Course duration

The course comprises 1,000 teaching hours. It consists of 900 hours of language lessons and 100 hours of orientation lessons. Upon request, the language course can be extended by 300 hours. The integration course for people with low literacy skills ends with two final tests: the DTZ – German Test for Immigrants (level A2/B1) and the “Living in Germany” test.

Monday - Friday | 8:45 am - 12:50 am | 25 hours per week | 4 weeks per course section

Monday - Friday | 1:30 pm - 4:45 pm | 20 hours per week | 5 weeks per course section

Consultation | Assessment

In a free assessment for the integration course for low-income individuals, we will work with you to determine the appropriate course section for you and, if necessary, assist you with your application for travel expense reimbursement. A valid participation authorization is required to participate. If you do not yet have a participation authorization, we will assist you in obtaining one.
