Studienkolleg

The admission test for the Niedersächsisches Studienkolleg takes place at the University of Hannover. It is designed for foreign students who want to study in Germany.

Studienkolleg - What is it exactly?

Participants without a direct university entrance qualification can prepare for studies in Germany at the Studienkolleg. The entrance test for the Lower Saxony Studienkolleg takes place at the University of Hanover. The Studienkolleg usually takes two semesters. In a selected focus course, you will be prepared for studies at a German university. You can choose between technical, natural science, economic and social science or humanities subjects. If you successfully complete the final assessment test at the Studienkolleg, you will be entitled to study at a German university or college.

How can I prepare for the entrance exam?

We offer a six-week preparatory course for the Studienkolleg twice a year. The preparatory course includes intensive exam training in the subjects of German and mathematics as well as a model exam. To participate in the preparatory course, we recommend that you have level B2 of the CEFR in terms of your language skills. You can reach this level by attending our intensive courses, for example.
