The ISK carries out all the German examinations in the intensive courses given at levels A1 to C1 of the generally binding competence levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The examinations always take place during the last week of the course. Intensive preparation for the examination and a mock exam prior to the actual exam are part of the course program. The examination fees are included in the course prices.
All ISK examinations can also be taken on individually arranged dates. As a rule, the ISK examinations are recognized as the proof of language proficiency you require to become a German citizen or to apply for a medical doctor’s license to practice.
All ISK examinations are made up of the following modules: listening comprehension, reading, grammar structures, writing and speaking.
A minimum of 60 percent is required to pass the exam. After successfully passing the exam, ISK course participants will receive their certificates during the last week of the course.
